Biodiversity and ecosystem services solutions
Data, tools and advice to manage biodiversity-related commitments, risks and opportunities
What We Offer
BIODIVERSITY UNIT VERIFICATION
We work with landowners, land managers and businesses to help them assess their baseline biodiversity units (BUs) and to evaluate their options for delivering BUs for sale to public and private sector clients. In England, we use the UK Habitat Classification (“UKHab”), developed by eCountability and partners to identify habitats and conduct condition assessments based on current guidance (Metric 2.0/ 3.0). As well as undertaking UKHab and habitat condition assessment surveys directly, eCountability can verify third party surveys and assessments, to assure trusted baselines and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) outcomes, essential to support contracts with private or public sector sector buyers in the biodiversity credits market.
eCountability has been involved in development of the new British Standard for BNG and can assist clients to conform with it.
